Newsletter - Week 7 Term 1
Greenmeadows School 17th March 2021
Principal's Message
Thanks for all the feedback about the format of the newsletter - great to see that it loads so well into the range of devices you are using to access our information.
Our Newest Arrivals at GMS
Effie Robinson, Matilda Masters, Asher Flynn and Chloe Young. We also welcome Korey-Jae Brightwell-Mackey back to GMS. We wish you all the best for your time here!
Staffing Updates
Taking the place of Mrs Bryan will be Mr Andy Mackay. Andy has taught junior students for three years at Te Aro School in Wellington before relocating to Hawkes Bay with his partner Jo (also a teacher).
Miss Cassie Vella-Brincat will set up the next New Entrant class in Room 6 from the start of next term. Cassie has been working alongside Paula Kinsey both last year and in 2021.
Mr Nathan Tweedy has started working as a teacher Aide at GMS. Nathan is a keen sportsman and has been working with Years 1 to 4 classes.
We welcome all three to our school!
Traffic Safety
The staggered finish times is helping reduce the congestion at the end of the school day. This means that car parks are almost always free in the St Mary's Church carpark.
So parents can you please help us keep everyone safe by driving into the carpark and parking to collect your children. A few cars are stopping in the driveway and signalling for their children to get in ... this holds up traffic behind in the street, as well as cars attempting to come out.
Your assistance would be valued.
Thanks.
